http://www.unb.ca/research/institutes/cri/opportunities/courses/streamrestoration.html

The 5 day course consists of 8 half-day lectures and a day’s field trip to a completed pool and riffle fish

passage project and to the Okanagan River re-meandering project now under construction near Oliver BC.

Three lectures deal with fluvial processes and hydraulics with a special emphasis on aquatic habitats, three

lectures deal with designing pools and riffles, meanders, and fish passage works. The final lectures illustrate the

application of HEC-RAS, CHUTE and FishXing programs as they apply to two trout and salmon project designs.

All lecture materials are contained in a 200 page project case book with 14 completed inland and coastal stream

and river projects. An attached CD contains the design programs and the sample project files.
